About the role
We are looking for a skilled Welder to join New Hope Agriculture & Technology Nig. Ltd. in Abeokuta. The role involves fabricating, assembling and repairing metal components for our manufacturing operations, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Cut, shape and assemble metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform welding on machinery, structures and other metal assemblies.
- Repair damaged or worn‑out metal components to restore functionality.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Follow workplace safety standards, use personal protective equipment and observe fire‑prevention protocols.
- Inspect welds for strength, durability and proper alignment.
- Maintain welding machines, tools and protective gear in good condition.
Required profile
- Minimum High School (SSCE) qualification.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on welding experience.
Required skills
- Metal fabrication.
- Welding operations.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Equipment maintenance.
