Vendor Specialist

About the role

OnePort 365 is seeking a Vendor Specialist to support the management of its supplier and service‑provider ecosystem across the logistics value chain. The role will assist with vendor sourcing, onboarding, performance monitoring and operational coordination to ensure reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential logistics vendors (trucking, shipping, clearing, warehousing, etc.) and support due‑diligence documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, maintain vendor records and keep the internal vendor database up to date.
• Serve as the first point of contact for assigned vendors, communicate operational requirements, SLAs and company standards.
• Monitor vendor KPIs such as delivery timelines, service quality, cost efficiency and compliance; compile data for review meetings.
• Escalate performance issues, track corrective actions and follow‑through on improvement plans.
• Support daily logistics execution by ensuring vendor availability, resolving service issues and facilitating communication between vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date vendor agreements, licenses and compliance documents; assist internal audits.
• Prepare regular vendor performance reports and provide insights to the Vendor Manager.

Required profile

• Ability to support vendor sourcing, onboarding and documentation processes.
• Strong communication skills to act as liaison between vendors and internal operations.
• Experience tracking performance metrics and handling escalation of issues.
• Attention to compliance requirements and record‑keeping.
