Utility Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Utility Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of all utility systems at our manufacturing plant. The role ensures reliable supply of steam, compressed air, water, chilled water, power and HVAC to support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the operation of boilers, compressors, chillers, generators, water treatment plants and HVAC systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Lead a team of technicians and operators, providing guidance and training.
• Troubleshoot utility‑related issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of utility consumption, maintenance activities and system performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies.
• Support energy‑efficiency initiatives and cost‑reduction strategies.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialised maintenance or repairs.
• Participate in audits and inspections as required.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in utility operations within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems such as steam, compressed air, water treatment, refrigeration and power generation.
• Familiarity with maintenance planning and execution.
• Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental practices.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
