UI/UX Designer

About the role

ATAfrica is looking for an ambitious and talented UI/UX Designer to join its growing team. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, is passionate about user-centric design and keeps up with the latest design trends, techniques and technologies. Key responsibilities

• Translate concepts into wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand user needs and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system and style guide.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to iterate on design solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer with a strong portfolio showing design skills and process.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma or similar.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and frontend development is a plus.
