Motion Designer

About the role

Langa House is a design studio that builds work across brand identity, campaigns, digital design and storytelling. It is hiring a Motion Designer to bring its ideas, brands and stories to life through movement, working with the design team to turn creative concepts into motion for campaigns, social content, brand identities, presentations and digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Create motion design for campaigns, social media, brand identities and digital content.
• Animate typography, logos, illustrations and visual systems.
• Work closely with designers to translate static concepts into strong motion ideas.
• Develop motion treatments and storyboards for internal reviews and client presentations.
• Prepare final files in the right formats for social, digital and presentation use.
• Contribute ideas on how motion can strengthen the studio's creative work.
• Maintain organised project files and work carefully through feedback and revisions.

Required profile

• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating motion design and visual storytelling.
• Ability to interpret creative direction and develop it into polished motion work.
• Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Nice to have: experience creating motion for brand campaigns and social-first content.

Required skills

• Confidence using After Effects, Premiere Pro and relevant Adobe Creative Suite tools.
• Strong understanding of timing, composition, typography and transitions.
• Nice to have: illustration, 3D, sound design or video-editing skills; familiarity with Figma and working directly with graphic designers on brand systems.
