Truck Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Truck Driver to operate cement mixer trucks for our construction projects in Abuja. The role involves safe transportation of cement, ensuring quality during transit, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cement mixer trucks safely, adhering to traffic regulations.
• Perform daily pre‑trip inspections of tyres, brakes, lights, drum and water system.
• Keep the drum rotating while driving to preserve cement quality.
• Verify load details before departing the plant and coordinate with site foremen for proper discharge.
• Wash the drum after each delivery and keep the vehicle clean and professional.
• Record delivery details such as volume, time and site.
• Report any vehicle problems or safety concerns immediately.

Required profile

• Minimum S.S.C.E qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience driving mixer trucks or other heavy vehicles.
• Valid Nigerian driver’s licence (Class C or higher).
• Defensive Driving Certificate.
• Physically fit and able to work on construction sites.

Required skills

• Defensive driving techniques.
• Operation of mixer trucks.
• Class C driver’s licence.
• Experience in cement or concrete delivery (advantage).
