Logistics Officer – Healthcare Sector

About the role

The Logistics Officer will ensure seamless supply‑chain and logistical operations across a network of healthcare facilities, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, affordable care in Imo State.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, storage and distribution of medical and administrative supplies to ensure timely availability and cost‑effective management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor usage patterns and implement systems to prevent stock‑outs or excess stock.
• Organise transportation of personnel, equipment and supplies between facilities, optimizing routes and schedules for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, healthcare regulations and safety standards, and prepare regular logistical performance reports.
• Collaborate with HR Operations, facility managers and external vendors to align logistics with workforce needs and operational priorities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field, preferably within healthcare or the public sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CILT, CSCP) is an advantage.
• Must be a resident of Imo State or willing to relocate.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare logistics regulations and best practices.
