Technical Trainee – Engineering Development

About the role

Ascentech is offering a Technical Trainee position in Abeokuta, Ogun State. This full‑time role provides hands‑on exposure to engineering and manufacturing processes while you complete a structured learning program.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned learning modules covering safety, technical theory and software tools.
• Shadow senior technicians and engineers during fieldwork and plant operations.
• Assist daily tasks in IT, engineering or manufacturing departments, including data recording and report drafting.
• Inspect tools, perform basic calibrations and report any defects.
• Support troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of simple technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, sharing notes and coordinating efforts to meet project goals.

Required profile

• HND (minimum) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Recent completion of NYSC.
• No prior work experience required.
