Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Capivas Africa creates mobile value‑added services and digital content for telecom subscribers across Nigeria. The Technical Support Engineer will work on the VAS platform, handling shortcodes, subscription services, campaign configuration and content delivery. This hybrid role blends technical support with creative content production.

Key responsibilities

• Support configuration, testing and daily operation of VAS products delivered via shortcode, USSD and SMS.
• Collaborate with mobile network operators and platform partners on service setup, keyword configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Produce and edit short‑form videos for social media, on‑device promotion and campaign channels.
• Use AI video and image generation tools to quickly develop concepts and high‑volume assets.
• Develop content for games, trivia and subscription services that resonates with the Nigerian mass‑market audience.
• Adapt campaigns to various channel formats, from vertical social videos to compressed on‑device creatives.
• Monitor service and campaign performance and feed insights back into product and creative development.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in telecom VAS, digital content or mobile services.
• Working understanding of VAS delivery, shortcodes, subscription flows, USSD/SMS services, or campaigns run with mobile network operators.
• Strong content instincts for Nigerian social media and ability to write copy as well as edit footage.
• Self‑starter who can take a brief and deliver without detailed step‑by‑step guidance.

Required skills

• Video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
• Hands‑on experience with AI video and image generation tools.
• Familiarity with shortcodes, USSD and SMS service configuration.
