Technical Security Lead

About the role

The Technical Security Lead will design, implement and oversee the security technology needed to protect SCiN’s physical assets and infrastructure. You will ensure that all security solutions align with Group standards and regulatory requirements while demonstrating clear business value.

Key responsibilities

• Own planning and budgeting for security technology across the SCiN Security Function.
• Lead all security‑technology matters, provide subject‑matter expertise and stay abreast of market trends.
• Develop and maintain the SCiN Security Technology Roadmap, from ideation through company‑wide rollout.
• Collaborate with IDT, Real Estate, Projects, telecoms and other disciplines to design and assure technical security solutions for all sites.
• Establish and refine technical specifications, standards, tools, processes and policies, including access‑control frameworks.
• Conduct strategic reviews of high‑risk assets, create improvement strategies and business cases, and support implementation as an SME.
• Ensure High‑Level Security Designs are fit‑for‑purpose and compliant; produce HLSDs when required.
• Provide technical leadership for Genetec system delivery, oversee access‑control operations and support enterprise project delivery.
• Mentor security staff, work with contractors and partners, and drive cost savings through value engineering and contract support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years with security technology/equipment in top‑tier technology or consulting firms.
• Professional industrial security certification (e.g., PSP from ASIS) is advantageous.
• Certification in the use of Genetec interfaces.
• Strong understanding of security technology and its application to high‑risk assets.
