Technical Sales Engineer – Manufacturing Solutions

About the role

The Technical Sales Engineer will drive B2B sales of industrial and manufacturing solutions for Ascentech in Lagos. You will act as the technical bridge between customers and our product portfolio, ensuring the right solutions are matched to client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage B2B accounts within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth across assigned territories.
• Understand customers’ technical requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, production teams, maintenance managers, procurement professionals and other key decision‑makers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical presentations to proposal preparation, negotiation, closing and after‑sales support.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations and technical discussions.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals and sales reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B or industrial sales experience, preferably in chemical, hygiene or cleaning product lines.
• Experience selling technical products to manufacturing companies, with knowledge of industrial hygiene, cleaning or specialty chemicals.
• Educational background in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or related technical disciplines is an advantage.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to explain technical product specifications and applications to industrial customers.
