Technical Drawing Teacher

About the role

Lead British International School in Ibadan is seeking a dedicated Technical Drawing Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to secondary‑school students. The successful candidate will integrate the British and Nigerian curricula, fostering practical and theoretical drawing skills in a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans covering technical drawing, engineering graphics and related STEM topics.
• Demonstrate manual drafting techniques and guide students in the use of CAD and other digital drawing tools.
• Organise and supervise practical studio sessions, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school meetings, clubs and events.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Technical Drawing, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Education.
• Teaching qualification or certification is an advantage.
• Experience teaching secondary‑school students, preferably within a British or blended curriculum.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity and continuous professional development.
