Technical Buyer

About the role

The Technical Buyer will manage end‑to‑end purchasing of technical materials, equipment and services for Oil & Gas projects. Based on‑site in Port Harcourt, the role supports engineering, project management, logistics and finance teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for project‑specific items.
• Evaluate supplier offers, negotiate prices and terms, and raise purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit and compliance requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or HND degree in Engineering, Management or Social Sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement function.
• Understanding of supply‑chain risks, procurement governance and budgeting.
• Evidence of self‑development and ethical practice in supply‑chain activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
• Knowledge of spend management and supplier performance monitoring.

• Competitive monthly gross salary ranging from N350,000 to N450,000.
