Technical Assistant (FMCG Operations)

About the role

Elevare Human Solutions Ltd is hiring a Technical Assistant in Lagos (Marina) to support management, coordinate manufacturing and operational activities, and manage projects. The role covers production, quality, procurement, warehousing, logistics and maintenance, and requires strong commercial judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Translate management decisions into tasks, owners, timelines and deliverables; track meeting action points and prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations and dashboards.
• Coordinate production, quality, procurement, warehousing, logistics and maintenance, and monitor output, delivery schedules, quality, waste and compliance.
• Support SOPs, operational controls and continuous improvement, and engage technical teams on manufacturing processes and food safety requirements.
• Review proposals, procurement needs, supplier performance, service agreements and costs, and help align capacity, demand, inventory and deliveries.
• Monitor cost drivers, material consumption, stock movement and operating expenditure, and identify efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate projects from planning to closure, organise meetings and follow up on actions, and analyse trends, risks and delays.
• Maintain accurate reports, ensure compliance with procedures and internal controls, and handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Typically 5-8 years of experience in FMCG, food processing, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, project coordination or a related industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior management, coordinating cross-functional operations, managing projects or improving operational performance.
• Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, inventory management and commercial operations.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
