Team Manager – Merchant Lending

About the role

Fairmoney Microfinance Bank is seeking a dynamic Team Manager to lead its Merchant Lending unit in Enugu. You will oversee a group of loan officers, drive loan disbursement targets, and ensure high‑quality, low‑risk lending practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of portfolio managers to achieve monthly disbursement and quality goals.
• Monitor performance, enforce policies, and conduct pre‑disbursement field visits.
• Oversee daily repayment tracking and support loan recovery and client acquisition.
• Approve loans within granted authority and assess team performance for decision‑making.
• Assist area and state managers in fostering a positive work environment.
• Represent the institution to partners with professionalism.
• Provide regular training, coaching, and mentorship to loan officers.
• Prepare daily performance reports and handle additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in loan sales, portfolio management and team leadership.
• Proven ability to motivate sales teams and achieve results.
• Highly flexible, result‑oriented, and hardworking with a strong track record.
• Self‑motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High integrity, dynamic, enjoys outdoor work and is target‑driven.
