Team Leader – Fiber Optic (FTTH / Telecom Networks)

About the role

Fiberco, a leading digital infrastructure company in West Africa, is seeking a Team Leader for its fiber optic (FTTH/Telecom Networks) operations in Lagos. The role oversees field teams responsible for deploying, connecting, and maintaining fiber networks, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery while adhering to HSE and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise field team activities (D1, D2, D3) and ensure availability of tools, materials and workforce.
• Control and validate the quality of fiber installations, splicing and connections, and approve work before service activation.
• Track performance indicators, identify gaps and implement corrective actions, providing regular reports to management.
• Lead, coach and motivate field technicians, support onboarding and skills development, and enforce discipline.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, manage critical incidents and ensure service continuity.
• Enforce strict HSE compliance, quality control and client requirements.
• Consolidate field reports, update tracking tools and databases, and escalate risks and insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Telecommunications, Networks, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fiber optics/FTTH certification is a strong advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in fiber network deployment, installation or maintenance.
