Team Lead, System Administrator

About the role

Moniepoint is looking for a senior professional to lead its IT infrastructure team in Lagos. The Team Lead, System Administrator will combine hands‑on technical work with tactical leadership, ensuring the stability and evolution of the company’s critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and coordinate a team of Systems Administrators, managing workload and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Design, implement and maintain servers, virtualization platforms (Proxmox) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Oversee Windows Server and Linux system administration, networking, security and automation initiatives.
• Define and enforce SOPs, escalation paths and quality standards across all infrastructure tasks.
• Track and own metrics such as system uptime (99.9%+), ticket response times and end‑user satisfaction.
• Identify capability gaps and drive improvements through training, tooling or workflow redesign.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 5 years) in systems administration and IT operations.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, conduct performance reviews and develop staff.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
