Team Lead – Financial Accounting

About the role

The Team Lead – Financial Accounting will oversee daily accounting operations in a fast‑paced technology environment. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS/GAAP, and provide reliable data to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls and coordinate audit processes.
• Supervise, mentor and develop a team of financial accountants, assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, intercompany and bank reconciliations, cash‑flow monitoring and payroll journal processing.
• Drive ERP system optimisation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and automate repetitive accounting tasks.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, delivering insights for business planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP reporting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software.
