Tax and Audit Lead

About the role

The Tax and Audit Lead will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and internal audit activities, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory obligations while identifying opportunities for tax efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns.
• Ensure appropriate tax deductions and timely remittance from vendors.
• Lead internal audit engagements from planning through execution and reporting.
• Review financial statements for compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for tax‑related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships, providing tax advice to stakeholders.
• Manage correspondence with regulatory bodies such as LIRS and FIRS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CITN membership and any relevant accounting certifications.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in tax and audit functions.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations with the ability to apply them to complex situations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
