Tally Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tally Accountant to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our agro‑allied and FMCG operations in Ibadan. The successful candidate will use Tally ERP to record transactions, prepare reports and support compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accounting records using Tally ERP.
• Prepare, verify and post entries for sales, purchases, payments and receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts and customer ledgers regularly.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports and budgets.
• Track inventory valuation in coordination with store and production teams.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Support statutory compliance including VAT, WHT, PAYE and other regulatory filings.
• Monitor and analyse financial data for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Provide documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial records and company information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in agro‑allied, FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 (or newer versions).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
