Tailor – Garment Assembly & Quality Control

About the role

Mo'Afrique is seeking a skilled Tailor to join its garment production team in Abuja. The role focuses on assembling clothing items from pattern to finished product while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Sew fabric pieces using industrial sewing machines such as sergers, overlockers and flatbed machines according to patterns and tech packs.
• Inspect raw materials and finished garments for defects, performing adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Achieve daily and weekly production quotas without compromising craftsmanship.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sewing equipment, including cleaning, oiling and reporting mechanical issues promptly.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in garment manufacturing or large‑scale tailoring environments.
• Strong knowledge of different fabric types, appropriate needle sizes and thread tension.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive, fast‑paced tasks accurately.
• Team‑oriented mindset, able to work alongside cutters and pressers on an assembly line.
