Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Platform Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Abuja. You will design, maintain, and optimise the infrastructure that powers KadMap OS and its associated platform services, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade computing infrastructure.
• Maintain and optimise KadMap OS and related platform components.
• Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure and system architecture decisions.
• Automate operational processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement corrective solutions.
• Provide technical support for deployments, integrations, and platform operations.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and technical standards.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for critical production systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure management, or platform operations.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Experience with virtualization and containerisation technologies such as KVM and Docker.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of networking, security and system architecture principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
