System Architect/Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a senior System Architect/Engineer to bridge IT and OT/IoT environments, designing and implementing scalable, secure solutions for industrial telemetry.

Key responsibilities

• Provision IoT devices, convert industrial protocols (e.g., MODBUS to MQTT) and develop edge microservices for telemetry processing.
• Automate infrastructure on Linux/Windows servers, ensure system availability and disaster recovery.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications (Docker/Kubernetes) and serverless pipelines in cloud environments.
• Support enterprise networks, firewalls, site‑to‑site VPNs and enforce security protocols (TLS/SSL, identity management) on edge hardware.

Required profile

• B.S. in electrical, telecommunication, computer or system engineering.
• Senior‑level experience (minimum 5 years) with cloud services and system architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise in both IT and OT/IoT domains.

Required skills

• IoT and edge integration (MODBUS, MQTT, edge microservices).
• Linux/Windows server administration and scripting.
• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, serverless pipelines.
• Network security: firewalls, VPN, TLS/SSL, identity management.
• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CWNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, vendor microwave certifications.
• Proficiency with MS Visio.
