Survey Engineer / Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Survey Engineer/Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring cost‑effectiveness of construction projects while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings.
• Conduct cost analysis, optimise project budgets and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Analyse financial data, produce reports for management and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and evaluate subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare and analyse tender documents, including bills of quantities, and assist in tendering processes.
• Conduct site visits to assess work quality and identify cost implications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in cost estimating software.
• Advanced use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
