Superintendent Pharmacist

About the role

The Superintendent Pharmacist will lead pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with national regulations and maintaining high standards of medication safety. This senior position reports to senior management and oversees a multidisciplinary pharmacy team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee registration of pharmacy premises and products with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria and NAFDAC.
• Develop, review, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for safe handling, storage, and distribution of medicines.
• Supervise, mentor, and assess pharmacy staff to ensure competency and proper licensing.
• Maintain clinical governance, including accurate patient records and swift handling of product recalls.
• Identify and mitigate clinical and operational risks, analyse customer feedback, and report incidents.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Pharmacy or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar supervisory pharmacy role.
• Registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
