Summit Partnerships & Sponsorship Volunteer

About the role

We are seeking volunteers to support the Partnerships & Sponsorship team for the OpenGov Africa Summit 2026. The role involves assisting with sponsor outreach, coordination, and on‑site support during the five‑day event.

Key responsibilities

• Research and build prospect lists of potential sponsors and partners.
• Support outreach communications and schedule follow‑ups.
• Track sponsor commitments and deliverables.
• Coordinate logistics for partner‑facing materials and benefits.
• Assist with day‑of sponsor and partner support during Summit week.

Required profile

• Organised, responsive and able to work independently.
• Interest in partnerships, business development, fundraising or nonprofit relationship management.
• Clear written communication in English.
• Available a few hours per week, with increased availability closer to October.
• Can work remotely and attend on‑site activities in Lagos during the Summit week.
• No prior events experience required.
