Storekeeper

About the role

BAM Projects and Properties Ltd is looking for a diligent Storekeeper to manage the receipt, storage, and issue of materials at its Abuja location. The role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory, supporting procurement and logistics, and ensuring a safe and organized store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify delivered materials against approved purchase orders, delivery notes, and other relevant documents.
• Check quantities, descriptions, and visible condition of materials and promptly report shortages, excesses, or damaged items.
• Properly arrange, label, store and safeguard materials within the designated store.
• Issue materials only against properly authorised requests and accurately record all stock movements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records and conduct routine physical stock counts and reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, variances, losses, damages and replenishment requirements to the Procurement Manager.
• Prepare authorised materials for dispatch and coordinate with the designated logistics/material‑handling function for collection or delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation and traceability for materials received, issued, transferred and remaining in stock.
• Maintain safe, clean and secure store conditions and comply with BAM’s HSE and inventory control procedures.
• Prepare regular stock and store reports covering receipts, issues, balances, variances, damaged materials and other store exceptions.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of a B.Sc.
• At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar storekeeping role.
