Store Manager - Issuing

About the role

Dangote Industries is looking for a Store Manager - Issuing for its Ibese Plant. The role oversees materials issuing to production, maintenance and site projects, ensuring correct material selection, timely issuance, accurate documentation and control so that plant operations run without interruption while minimising stock loss and misuse.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily issuing to production, maintenance and contractors against approved requisitions, job cards and work orders.
• Check requisitions for authorisation, specification and availability, escalating discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate picking, kiting and staging, maintaining FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
• Use ERP/WMS picking and issuing modules and keep issue documents (Material Issue Notes, Requisition Forms) complete and archived.
• Control critical spares and high-value items with an approval matrix.
• Work with Planning and Maintenance to prioritise urgent breakdown and spare requests.
• Supervise the issuing team: training, rostering, performance appraisals and coaching on part identification and tool use.
• Carry out regular physical checks of issuing points and satellite stores and reconcile differences with central stores records.
• Prevent theft and pilferage through access control, CCTV oversight and strict sign-off procedures.
• Support preventive stock reviews and suggest reorder and critical-level adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five years of stores/issuing experience in heavy industry; cement or large manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP stores modules and material issue workflows.
