Station Cashier – Asaba, Delta

About the role

Virgin Forest Energy Limited is seeking a proactive Station Cashier to join its Asaba fuel station. The role involves handling all customer payments, processing sales, and maintaining accurate financial records while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive payments for petroleum products and issue receipts.
• Maintain cash float, safeguard cash and valuables, and prepare daily cash summaries.
• Process transactions via cash, POS, bank transfer and other approved methods, ensuring accuracy.
• Reconcile cash collections with POS sales and pump meter readings, and investigate any discrepancies.
• Prepare end‑of‑shift financial reports and deposit daily proceeds as directed.
• Maintain complete and audit‑ready documentation of sales, receipts and cash movements.
• Provide courteous customer service, address payment inquiries and resolve minor complaints.
• Adhere to company financial policies, internal controls and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• OND, HND or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field (professional certification is a plus).
• 1–3 years of experience in cash handling, retail or fuel‑station environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
