Sonographer / Radiographer

About the role

Cellulose Medical Laboratory is hiring a full-time Sonographer/Radiographer in Abuja. The role covers patient preparation, operation of imaging equipment and radiographic procedures, and includes maintaining quality control, records and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and clients for radiographic and sonographic examinations or procedures
• Operate digital and analog equipment such as ultrasound scans, X-ray, ECG and mammogram, and choose the right equipment for each procedure
• Conduct radiographic procedures
• Use radiology management and hospital information systems to manage client information
• Set up and strengthen the quality control and quality assurance programme
• Restock supplies and commodities on a monthly or periodic basis
• Maintain sonologic and radiologic logs and records (issue logs, maintenance logs, expiry logs, stock cards)
• Work closely under the supervision of the Consultant Radiologist and follow any other assignments from the medical director

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in radiography; a Master's degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC experience
• Valid practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria
• Exceptionally computer literate
• Good soft skills: teamwork, customer care, initiative, adaptability, decisiveness, written and oral communication
