About the role
The Software Lead will design, develop, and maintain internal software applications and automation scripts that support MSI Nigeria’s operational and programmatic needs. Working from Abuja, you will bridge business requirements with technical implementation, ensuring reliable, scalable tools for the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain internal applications, automation scripts, and tools.
- Build and maintain integrations between business systems, data platforms, and APIs (e.g., ONA, SharePoint, Power BI, ERP).
- Manage version control using Git and keep repositories clean and well‑documented.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and performance optimisation of all managed code.
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and coordinate user acceptance testing.
- Diagnose and resolve software bugs, integration failures, and application errors promptly.
- Provide technical triage, root‑cause analysis, and documentation for system issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Solutions Manager, Data Systems Coordinator, and MIS Officer.
Required profile
- Proven experience developing and maintaining internal software applications and automation scripts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
