Software Developer & Test Engineer

About the role

Upland Consulting Nigeria Limited is seeking a senior‑level Software Developer & Test Engineer to design, build and maintain real‑time IoT dashboards and full‑stack applications. You will work on cloud‑native services, automate testing pipelines and ensure high‑quality releases for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provision real‑time telemetry dashboards using Grafana, ThingsBoard and AWS IoT SiteWise.
• Develop scalable front‑end applications with React, Vue or Angular and back‑end services with Node.js, Python (FastAPI, Flask).
• Deploy serverless micro‑services and manage PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, DynamoDB and other NoSQL/time‑series databases on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Architect and execute automated test suites (PyTest, Cypress, Playwright, Postman) for APIs, IoT data streams and UI components.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Collaborate on containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of full‑stack development, cloud engineering and test automation experience.
• Senior‑level expertise with AWS, Azure or GCP and proven ability to deliver IoT solutions.
• Hands‑on experience building and customizing real‑time dashboards.
• Preferred cloud certifications (AWS Developer, Azure Developer, GCP Associate).
• Familiarity with IoT messaging protocols such as MQTT, WebSockets and Modbus.
