Social Media Officer

About the role

We are looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Social Media Officer to drive dGOLD’s online presence in Nigeria. Working closely with marketing, communications, product and management teams, you will turn company updates, educational topics and campaign ideas into engaging content across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish social media content following the brand voice and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain a structured content calendar covering updates, educational posts, hiring announcements, campaigns and events.
• Write clear, professional captions and short posts for each platform.
• Support the development of visual and short‑form content ideas.
• Monitor trends, audience conversations and relevant fintech, gold and digital‑asset topics.
• Engage with comments, messages and community interactions promptly.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure content accuracy and approval.
• Assist with event communication, campaign rollouts and thought‑leadership distribution.
• Track basic performance metrics and prepare simple reports with improvement recommendations.
• Repurpose content across platforms while maintaining a consistent, compliance‑focused tone.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing or communications.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian digital audiences and online behaviour.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, engaging copy that aligns with brand guidelines.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple content streams.
