Social Media Handler Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Social Media Handler Intern to join our team in Kano. This full‑time, hybrid internship offers hands‑on experience supporting client social media accounts and learning from seasoned marketers.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and publish posts according to approved content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Write platform‑specific captions that reflect each client’s brand voice.
• Monitor comments, direct messages and community interactions, responding or escalating as needed.
• Collaborate with strategy, design and production teams to execute content plans and campaigns.
• Research social media trends, competitor activity and industry insights to generate fresh content ideas.
• Assist with influencer outreach, collaborations and campaign coordination.
• Track performance metrics and prepare weekly/monthly social media reports.
• Ensure all content is accurate, visually appealing and aligns with brand guidelines before publishing.

Required profile

• Strong written communication in English with keen attention to detail.
• Interest in branding, digital marketing and online community building.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and willingness to learn data interpretation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Ability to create and curate engaging captions, images, short videos and stories.
