SME Portfolio Intern - Decision Science, Lagos

About the role

Renmoney, a Nigerian financial services company offering loans, savings and fixed deposit products, is recruiting an SME Portfolio Intern for its Decision Science department in Lagos. The internship is on-site and gives hands-on experience in data analytics and portfolio management within a Nigerian financial services company. Key responsibilities

• Monitor SME portfolio performance using reports and dashboards
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly portfolio performance reports
• Analyse data to find trends, patterns and areas for improvement
• Maintain accurate portfolio records and protect data integrity
• Create and update dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools
• Support data extraction, cleaning, validation and reconciliation
• Research and provide insights to support portfolio management
• Work with the Portfolio, Risk, Product and Operations teams on analytical projects
• Support business analysis and other reporting work, keeping customer and financial data confidential

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline
• Completed NYSC; current corps members do not appear to qualify
• Strong academic record
• Ability to manage several tasks and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Basic Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills
• Good communication and teamwork
• Attention to detail and accuracy with data
• Advantageous but not mandatory: basic knowledge of Power BI, SQL or MySQL, earlier internship experience in finance, banking, data analytics or business intelligence, and academic projects involving data analysis and reporting
