Site Validator for Solar Projects

About the role

The Site Validator will assess and validate potential locations for solar hub and shop projects in rural or remote communities. You will work closely with the QA Expansion/Growth Lead to build a pipeline of suitable sites and ensure they meet our technical and social criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential sites, gathering data on land suitability, infrastructure, and community demographics.
• Conduct on‑site visits, record GPS coordinates, take photographs, and document findings.
• Engage with local leaders and stakeholders to understand needs, promote solar benefits, and secure community buy‑in.
• Produce detailed site validation reports highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Rural Sociology, Rural Development or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in fieldwork, site evaluation, or rural community projects.
• Strong understanding of energy access challenges in remote areas.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently while traveling frequently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mapping tools.
• Experience using data collection technologies.
• Ability to perform data analysis and produce clear reports.
