Shelling Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Shelling Machine Operator to join our cashew processing line in Ogun State. You will be responsible for running the shelling equipment efficiently while ensuring high product quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load raw cashew nuts into the shelling machines and monitor the shelling process.
• Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure and blade gaps according to nut size to minimise kernel breakage.
• Conduct quality inspections on shelled kernels, identifying breakage, shell residue or other defects.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues, clear jams, perform routine cleaning and report major faults to maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (gloves, goggles, ear protection).
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining low breakage rates.
• Maintain accurate records of machine runtime, output, downtime and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience operating shelling machines or similar production equipment.
• Ability to monitor and adjust machine settings for efficient production.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.
• Basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Mowe‑Ibafo, Ogun State.
