Shared Service Control Intern

About the role

Moniepoint is seeking a Shared Service Control Intern to support the Internal Control department in Lagos. The role offers hands‑on exposure to head‑office operational functions, policy management, and control assessments across various business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and reporting daily settlement positions and exposures for e‑business products, ensuring closure by T+3.
• Support threshold management by tracking net exposure in accounts receivable and payable and flagging breaches.
• Help analyse GL data for outliers and trends to detect configuration errors or unconventional positions.
• Participate in transaction validation by monitoring automation tests for qualified transaction streams.
• Assist in asset and valuation control reviews, confirming physical existence and accurate recording of facilities and equipment.
• Support procure‑to‑pay control reviews, including purchase processes, inventory handling, and AP metric reporting.
• Maintain the central policy and procedure repository, ensuring up‑to‑date access to standards and SOPs.
• Conduct preliminary assessments of complaint management controls.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program related to finance, accounting, business, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop control assessment skills.
