Service Engineer – Field Service for Mining Trucks

About the role

We are seeking experienced Field Service Engineers to provide on‑site maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for SANY heavy‑duty mining trucks operating across northern Nigeria. Candidates must reside in or near Kano, Kazaure, Wudil or Katsina to ensure rapid emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assembly, commissioning, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs of mining trucks at project sites in Kazaure, Wudil and Katsina.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic failures using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Act as the on‑site technical point of contact, advising operators on safety, operation and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain detailed service logs, failure analyses and parts consumption reports to improve machine reliability.
• Travel quickly between regional sites to support active operations.

Required profile

• Residence in or very close proximity to Kano, Kazaure, Wudil or Katsina (non‑negotiable).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on field service experience with heavy‑duty trucks or mining machinery.
• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic capabilities in heavy‑duty transmissions, hydraulics and electrical circuits.
• Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools for mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
