Senior Trial Attorney

About the role

The Senior Trial Attorney will lead complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, focusing on trial preparation and courtroom advocacy. This full‑time hybrid role is based in Ikeja, combining office work with remote flexibility as case demands require.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and other key litigation documents and manage overall case strategy.
• Conduct legal research, take and defend depositions, examine witnesses, and appear in courts for hearings and trials.
• Mentor junior attorneys, coordinate with external counsel, and maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of post‑qualification experience in litigation or trial work, preferably in commercial or international matters.
• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction and good standing with the bar.
• Proven track record handling trials, including case strategy, witness preparation and advocacy.

Required skills

• Strong foundation in litigation practice, evidence and procedural rules.
• Excellent legal research, writing and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases, prioritize workloads and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
