Defective Team Leader (Full Time)

About the role
The Defective Team Leader is responsible for accurately processing customer returns, evaluating claims and product details, and managing the flow of items to inventory, vendors, and customers. This role ensures that defective items are handled efficiently within the warehouse and that inventory records remain precise.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, reconciliation, and exclusive inventory management of all items within the defective warehouse.
- Conduct quality and defect checks on each item to verify customer claims and categorize damage.
- Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records strictly limited to defective stock.
- Process and log all defective packages into the warehouse system on time.
- Prevent inventory losses through continuous monitoring and tracking of stored items.
- Manage the queue and physical storage of items in transit to and from the defective warehouse.
- Drive performance management, including appraisals and training of the warehouse team.
- Suggest system improvements to enhance operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Escalate discrepancies or operational issues to senior management promptly.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience in FMCG, warehouse management, or order management.
- Experience with quality assessment and control management.
- Experience managing after‑sales processes in FMCG or e‑commerce is an advantage.
- Performance‑driven, able to handle pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime as mutually agreed.
- Must have NYSC certificate or a valid exemption letter.
