Senior Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to lead civil engineering activities on our construction projects across Nigeria. The role involves overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with designs and standards, and delivering projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all civil engineering works on assigned sites and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to meet project milestones.
• Monitor project schedules, conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Control material usage, minimise waste and verify measurements for payment certification.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Resolve technical and construction challenges and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) – mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in site engineering or construction management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex construction sites.
