Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join a globally distributed technology team focused on building innovative digital experiences for millions of users. Working remotely, you will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to shape testing strategies and drive scalable quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the quality strategy within cross‑functional product squads, aligning testing approaches with business objectives and product risks.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams during planning and design to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and measurable.
• Enable development teams to own quality by promoting effective testing practices and supporting automated testing across multiple layers.
• Establish and maintain scalable testing frameworks, automation patterns, quality standards, and testing boundaries for long‑term maintainability.
• Conduct exploratory testing in high‑risk or business‑critical areas to identify issues and validate product behavior.
• Drive adoption of quality tools, CI/CD best practices, and shared engineering standards to improve reliability and delivery efficiency.
• Provide visibility into product quality by identifying risks, highlighting coverage gaps, and communicating trade‑offs to stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering practices, including AI‑assisted testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or a related role within cross‑functional product teams.
• Proven experience with complex software systems such as APIs, distributed architectures, cloud‑based platforms, or multi‑layer applications.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies across unit, integration, system, and end‑to‑end levels.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation and its integration into modern software delivery pipelines.
