Senior Python Engineer (Remote, Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join our client’s team on a part‑time, remote basis. The role focuses on building verifiable software‑engineering tasks from public repository histories and creating high‑quality datasets for LLM evaluation and training.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues in trending open‑source libraries to assess LLM bug‑fixing performance.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment preparation, for evaluation tasks.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and quality in public repositories to ensure robust dataset validation.
• Modify and run codebases locally to study LLM interactions with real‑world projects.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify challenging repositories and expand dataset coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of software‑engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with Git, Docker, and basic pipeline setup for repository evaluation.
• Ability to navigate complex open‑source codebases and contribute to or evaluate such projects.
