Senior Program Officer – Agriculture Policy, Advocacy & Strategic Communications

About the role

The Foundation seeks a senior professional to lead issue‑focused communications, policy advocacy, and strategic messaging around its renewed Agricultural Development strategy. This role translates policy, government‑relations, and economic‑opportunity priorities into concrete actions that influence public debate and drive impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute advocacy and communications strategies that align with the foundation’s agricultural agenda.
• Lead a grant portfolio aimed at achieving measurable advocacy outcomes.
• Engage directly with sector leaders, influencers, media, and government officials to advance policy goals.
• Craft issue‑specific communications and policy recommendations in partnership with programmatic and regional teams.
• Collaborate with Global Policy & Advocacy, program teams, and communications to ensure cohesive messaging.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in policy advocacy, public affairs, or strategic communications, preferably in agriculture or related sectors.
• Ability to work legally in the job’s location without visa sponsorship.
• Strong leadership and partnership‑building skills across diverse stakeholders.
