Senior Product Design Engineer – Additive Manufacturing

About the role

The Senior Product Design Engineer will lead our additive manufacturing and engineering functions, ensuring seamless delivery of 3D printing, laser cutting and UV printing services. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, optimise production workflows and uphold the highest quality standards for all outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and production operations for FDM, SLA, SLS, laser cutting and UV printing.
• Prepare and optimise 3D print files – CAD modelling, slicing, support design and build parameters.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from client brief through prototyping, production, post‑processing and delivery.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of printers, laser cutters and UV printers to maximise uptime.
• Drive continuous improvement in print quality, material utilisation, turnaround time and cost efficiency using data‑driven analysis.
• Lead, mentor and develop the engineering team, setting performance standards and building technical competency.
• Plan material procurement, monitor stock levels and manage supplier relationships for filaments, resins and consumables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Production Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within additive or rapid‑prototyping manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced production environment.
