Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Manager – Nigeria

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to join EIDU’s Research, Learning and AI team in Nigeria. The role will lead the design, implementation and oversight of M&E systems that measure the impact of our education programmes and inform strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for EIDU’s Nigeria programmes, defining metrics, methodologies and data collection systems.
• Lead end‑to‑end research and evaluation projects, from scoping and instrument design through fieldwork, analysis and dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage government research engagement and coordinate M&E activities with state education ministries and federal agencies.
• Conduct impact evaluations, including randomized controlled trials, to assess effects on literacy, numeracy and transition outcomes.
• Develop SOPs, tools and templates that standardise data collection, management and reporting across programmes.
• Identify strategic partnership opportunities and respond to RFPs with Nigerian and international funders.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to integrate research initiatives with organisational strategy and ensure timely project delivery.
• Support the Director of Research and AI in decision‑making and priority‑setting for Nigeria.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to using expertise for positive social change in education.
• Ph.D. or advanced degree in social sciences, data science, education or a related field.
• At least 6 years of M&E experience in international development, EdTech or similar contexts.
