Senior Manager, Business Development

About the role

Flutterwave is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across public and private sectors. The role focuses on government engagements, enterprise partnerships, and integrated payment solutions, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy to accelerate growth in public sector and enterprise segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with governors, ministers, regulators, banking executives, and corporate leaders.
• Identify, qualify, and convert strategic opportunities that drive revenue and market expansion.
• Lead end‑to‑end sales cycles from opportunity identification through negotiation, contracting, and implementation.
• Drive adoption of Flutterwave’s payment and collection solutions across government institutions and large enterprises.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Prepare business cases, proposals, presentations, and executive briefs for prospective clients.
• Manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to uncover new growth opportunities.
• Represent Flutterwave at executive meetings, industry forums, and strategic engagements.

Required profile

• Executive‑level commercial acumen with deep understanding of payments, collections, and digital financial solutions.
• Proven experience engaging senior government officials, banking executives, and corporate leaders.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Finance teams.
• Track record of managing high‑value stakeholder relationships and delivering measurable business value.
