Senior Lead AI & ML Engineer

About the role

Seismic Consulting Group is building a portfolio of production AI systems that power high‑stakes workflows across consumer platforms and enterprise knowledge tools. As a Senior/Lead AI & ML Engineer you will take technical ownership, delivering end‑to‑end machine‑learning solutions while guiding the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technical architecture and roadmap for AI/ML products and digital platforms.
• Lead model selection, fine‑tuning, and prompting for open‑ and closed‑source large language models.
• Design and implement retrieval‑augmented generation, vector search, and knowledge‑retrieval systems for production workloads.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of AI/ML features, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Build and maintain model‑serving, inference pipelines, and GPU/compute optimization workflows.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for model and system performance.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to align delivery timelines and resolve production incidents.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience shipping production‑ready machine‑learning and LLM‑based systems.
• Hands‑on expertise in architecting scalable AI solutions for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and set engineering standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for high‑load, real‑world environments.
