Senior Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Human Resources Officer to join Cedarcrest Hospitals in Apo‑Gudu. The role will lead HR initiatives, focusing on training and development, employee relations and performance management within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HR policies, manage employee relations and support recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Oversee performance management cycles, including appraisals, improvement plans and succession planning.
• Conduct training needs assessments, design and deliver learning programmes, and support career development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records, generate reports and provide guidance to managers and staff on HR matters.
• Support workforce planning, employee engagement activities and compliance with employment legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations or related field.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, PHR) is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law and performance management.
